Llangollen is a picture-perfect town, with a beautiful river running through it. There are lovely boutique shops and cafes perfect for having a wander. The Steam Train goes from Corwen to Llangollen for a scenic rail journey alongside the River Dee. The horse drawn boats along the canal at Llangollen is also another popular excursion. The canal is also lovely for a flat level walk, which takes you through beautiful countryside.

Pistyll Rhaedr Waterfall is also well worth a visit! It is one of the most beautiful and highest waterfalls within the UK. It is approx. 45min drive away but it is certainly a must see! A little café there too for a warming cup of coffee!

Less than an hour away is Eryri (Snowdonia National Park). There you can walk to the summit of Snowdon, wander lovely villages, explore historic castles and properties, see dramatic countryside or have a wild swim in the rivers and lakes. There are many activities you can do too, few to name such as White-water Rafting, Go-Karting and the popular Zip World.

Bodnant Garden which belongs to the National Trust is definitely one to visit and makes a wonderful day out. It has a few cafes and a lovely plant centre where you can bring a souvenir home!

Barmouth has a lovely beach, Prestatyn, Fairbourne, Bala, Chester, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet Centre, Ruthin, Oswestry, Wrexham just to name a few other places to visit. The drive to all these places whichever direction you go in, is always scenic through the beautiful Welsh countryside and a treat on its own.
